Eight nominations at the 2007 Picture Editor Awards
Congratulations to the six PA photographers who, between them, have received eight nominations at this year's Picture Editor Awards.
Now in their 14th year, the awards recognise and reward the very best in photographic journalism throughout the UK and Ireland.
Cathal McNaughton is nominated in three categories: Photographer of the Year, Royal Photographer of the Year, and Nature & the Environment Photographer of the Year.
Further nominations were received by:
- Rebecca Naden: Sports Picture of the Year
- Martin Rickett: News Photographer of the Year
- Niall Carson: Portrait Photographer of the Year
- Andrew Milligan: Nature & the Environment Photographer of the Year
- Lewis Whyld: Royal Photographer of the Year
Martin Keene, Head of Pictures at PA said, "Receiving this many nominations at such a prestigious competition is fantastic news, and testament to the consistent hard work of our photographers in capturing high quality pictures across the UK and Ireland."
The winners will be chosen by a ballot of picture editors across the UK, and awards will be presented at the Guildhall, London on Wednesday, 20th June. Good luck to those nominated.
